Nick's Cove Restaurant, Oyster Bar & Cottages, the historic roadside landmark that has delighted Route One travelers with its rustic upscale charm, its signature BBQ'd oysters, and some of the freshest seafood hauled by local fisherman continues its eighty-year tradition of entertaining and delighting travelers from California and beyond.
Consider Nick's Cove for your wedding ceremony, reception dinner, corporate retreat, private lunch or dinner. Our delicious food and the unsurpassed beauty of Tomales Bay makes Nick's Cove the number one meeting, lodging and dining spot on the Northern California coast.
Located just over an hour's drive from San Francisco and Napa Valley, Nick's Cove is gently nestled on the east shore of Tomales Bay, which has long been celebrated as one of the California coast's most spectacular settings. Ideally situated near the Point Reyes National Seashore preserve, Nick's Cove is just south of Bodega Bay's famed fishery for steelhead, coho, herring, striped bass, sturgeon, and halibut. And, of course, we're home to the wide variety of the delicious oysters from Tomales Bay to Drake's Bay for which the area has long been known.
Surrounded by pristine, protected forest land, the area is also a favorite of equestrians, hikers, birders, cyclists, mushroom foragers, wind surfers, kayakers, picnickers, and road-trippers of all persuasions. Nick's Cove can arrange an array of aquatic and land-based activities for guests, such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boards, cheese and farm tours, fishing, and of course, in-room massages.
Like the cottages at Nick's Cove, the Restaurant and Oyster Bar has been gloriously revived. The 120-seat indoor/outdoor restaurant features meeting areas, glassed-in deck, a beautifully restored mahogany bar and a large stone fireplace that serves as one of the focal points of the room.
