Every year, Wine Spectator announces the restaurants that they deem to have the best wine lists in the world. And guess what? Nick’s Cove is one of them! We couldn’t be more proud of our staff for selecting some of the best wines to complement our menus.
Here are some of my favorite pairings from our list that I am enjoying on these late summer nights:
These delicate beauties are grown and harvested right here in Tomales Bay, and taste delicious with some local festive bubbles!
Dungeness Crab Mac & Cheese with 2014 Marimar Estate “Don Miguel” Acero Chardonnay
Our famous Mac & Cheese is truly delightful with this Russian River Valley chard, which stands up to the indulgent creaminess of the sauce but has enough acidity to refresh the palate.
Butter Roasted Alaskan Halibut with 2015 Elizabeth Spencer Grenache Rose
This dish comes with the best of late summer produce: Blue Lake and yellow wax beans from our very own Croft, braised cranberry beans, and heirloom tomatoes. Yum! This one is fantastic with a rose from Mendocino county— its bright profile won’t overwhelm the fish, but will amply highlight the gorgeous tomatoes.
Wood Fired Prime New York Steak with anything red on our Cellar List
The ultimate indulgence! You can’t go wrong with a selection from our Cellar list— take a look at the selections here.
Cheers,
